The past few weeks have been consumed by thoughts of one statistic. The daily high temperatures have exceeded 100 degrees Fahrenheit most every day for some time now. Thankfully, we are blessed with air conditioning in our house, our car, and every location we choose to visit during our daily routines. Of course, we remain confident that one day, in God’s time, being outside will not be so dangerous.
We look forward to a couple of things in September. One will be a trip to Alaska, where we can enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. When we return, I will be involved in an annual event with a different format. The annual ScrivCon writer’s conference will be an online event. So, regardless of the weather, we can enjoy learning from lots of terrific speakers.
Once again, I will be presenting a devotional. I hope that my thoughts on Psalm 51, and in particular verse 8 will encourage the attendees to rejoice, even in the midst of a crushing loss.
The cost of this online conference is very reasonable. I hope you will consider joining if you have ever thought about becoming an author. I would love to “meet” you there!
