The world is a little dimmer today, without the light Dolly Parton contributed. I don’t know of another entertainer who touched me in such a personal way. Here’s a quote of hers that will stay with me as I continue my life. It sums up my Why better than almost anything I’ve seen.

Last night, I had the new, exciting experience of being a guest on a podcast. Chautona Havig’s “Because Fiction” was so much fun. She has a talent for pulling the best out of her guests, by getting them talking about things they love. I loved introducing new readers to Hope Takes the Reins, and can’t wait to see how this podcast spurs the sales of my books. The conversation won’t “go live” until October 12, but in the meantime, I intend to listen to more of her interviews. So many good books, so many authors. Great way to spend a few minutes.
