“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Second Timothy 2:15 NKJV
I don’t know who chooses my “verse of the day” each day, but they always seem so appropriate. Today, in the middle of a work week, I need to be reminded of the importance of what I am doing. Although I am not traveling away from my home, I will be in contact with many different people from my desk at home. The ripple effects of what I accomplish today will reach so many others, as our agency brings new jobs and new opportunities to so many others in our state.
But dividing the truth? What does that mean?
To divide is to separate. To set apart. So, the work I do will give others a solid, reliable platform to build on. The truth.
For me, the truth is simple. It is actually a person. Jesus tells us, He is the truth.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NKJV.
I plan to talk more about this in my newsletter. If you are not signed up, please take a minute to do that right now.
For today, just stop for a minute, get back to the truth, and be diligent about presenting it in every way you can. Your work will be approved by God, and that is what really matters!
