The beginning of the holiday season is a great time to find a great new read. November Knight by Debbi Migit comes along just in time to add some adventure to your to-be-read stack. Today, we’ll be hearing from the young heroine of the story. Don’t you love to hear what the characters in the book have to say?
Jenny: Thanks for stopping by today. Can you tell us your name and where you’re from?
Sierra: My name is Sierra Gallagher and I attend the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana.
Jenny: What can you tell us about your family and friends?
Sierra: My Mom, Connie and I have been on our own since my dad was killed in Afghanistan when I was eight years old. I’m very close to my Uncle Malcolm and Aunt Mary McBride and my cousins Nick and Cole. I’m also close friends with Jess Thomas (Cole’s girlfriend) and her friend Grace. I enjoy spending time with them when I visit Justice, Montana. After my latest adventures, I’m glad for their support more than ever.
Jenny: It’s wonderful that you have plenty of support in your life. What’s happening in your life right now?
Sierra: I’m a freshman at the University of Montana in Missoula and I’m excited to be on their girls’ volleyball team. I also volunteer with a group on the Dillon, Montana campus where I’ve been mentoring a young girl named Sophie. But nothing prepared me for the challenges that come when Sophie and I are kidnapped.
Jenny: Kidnapped? Wow. That must have been terribly scary. What are you looking forward to in the future?
Sierra: Short term: safety, a hot meal, and a warm bed! Long term: I’ve learned some things about myself in the past few weeks and I’m eager to step out of my comfort zone. It’s possible that my life is about to be upended, in a good way, and I’m excited. Also, a little bit terrified.
Jenny: We’d love to hear what is upending your life. Have you met anyone interesting lately?
Sierra: As a matter of fact, I have. His name is Levi Cooper, a Deputy Sheriff, working with my cousin, Nick. I have to admit, when I first met Levi, I was NOT a fan!
Jenny: What is so intriguing about this guy?
Sierra: I really don’t want to like Deputy Cooper. His experience in the Army Special Forces makes him the opposite of who I think I want. But I’m reluctantly drawn to his confidence-and his very blue eyes.
Jenny: What’s holding you back. What’s the major obstacle or annoyance for you these days?
Sierra: See the answer to the previous question. Just kidding- kind of. Right now, my major focus is finding Sophie even as I try to avoid those pesky feelings for Levi.
Jenny: Given what you told us about being kidnapped, how important is your faith in your daily life?
Sierra: Considering these latest adventures, I would say faith is essential! There were times when it looked like there was no way out of danger. But God . . .
Jenny: Do you have any parting words for our readers?
Sierra: If God opens a new door in your life, have the courage to walk through it with Him. There just might be something wonderful on the other side. Being a Christian is never boring- embrace the adventure!
Also- keep a fresh granola bar tucked in your purse. You know, in case you are ever kidnapped.
Jenny: Great advice! I will probably think about this every time I buy a granola bar!
Note to the readers: Don’t you agree, it’s fun to talk to the main character in a book?
Now, let’s hear more about November Knight and its author, Debbi Migit. If you’re new to this series, why not go out and get the first two books, then pre-order this one.
I hope you enjoy your family during this season of thanksgiving and celebration. May God continue to shower you with His richest blessings.
Award-winning author and speaker Debbi Migit lives in central Illinois, surrounded by pumpkin patches and cornfields. Her first book, Child of Promise is the story of audacious faith resulting in multiple miracles. It encourages readers to remember their own promises and believe again.
Debbi’s Justice, Montana series begins with September Shadows, released in February 2021, followed by October Outlaw in November of that year. After the mysterious death of their parents, Jess Thomas and her sisters are determined to stay together and make a new life for themselves, which includes faith-testing danger, adventure, and romance.
Book three, November Knight, will be released on November 28, 2023, followed by December Dreams, and January Justice in 2024-2025.
Debbi’s hobbies include reading, writing, and avoiding arithmetic. Her favorite color is turquoise, and she collects Trixie Belden books and typewriters. If playing Candy Crush was a paying gig, she would be rich.
Here’s a little teaser about November Knight:
When kidnappers take her friend, Sierra Gallagher, Jess Thomas is determined to find her. But a simple clue reveals a threat Jess never saw coming, plunging her into a life-threatening confrontation.
Meanwhile, former Army Ranger Levi Cooper is now a valuable task force member searching for the missing girls. But when he encounters Sierra, Levi discovers he has another mission.

I do like when the characters in books are interviewed, it makes them come alive even more to me. I already connect with them in the books that I read and miss them when the book or the series is over so it’s cool to get another piece of them!
