Easter is over. Now what? What a glorious day it was. A reminder of the joyous day when Jesus rewrote history forever. We left worship exhilarated, with renewed purpose. So now, it’s Monday. We’re back to the real world. How do we move forward? The apostle Paul had some advice for his Collosian friends. In Chapter 3 of his letter to them, he says “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Collosians 3:1-2 NKJV. Today, while we are still looking up, let’s don’t lose focus. Don’t look down, don’t turn back.
As the week wears on, if that gets harder, be sure to go back to worship next Sunday. There are folks there who can help renew your focus. After all, the old you is gone, and your new life continues. “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” Collosians 3: 3-4 NKJV.
