Today my guest is Scrivenings Press author Molly Noble Bull. Her latest book, Bluebonnet Bride was released on June 29, 2021.
Molly describes her book as a modern day Christian romance. It’s the story of Gina Hollister, a Ph.D with dyslexia, who tutors the dyslexic daughter of widower, Steve Bryson, for the summer, and attractions develop between Gina and Steve. But this attraction can never end in marriage because billionaire, Steve Bryson, doesn’t like Bible thumpers; he thinks Dr. Gina Hollister is one.
I’m excited to hear more about Molly, and her book.
Jenny: So, what inspired you to write Bluebonnet Bride?
Molly: I was never tested, but I believe I might be dyslexic, inspiring me to write this novel. I had a hard time learning to read and spell. Now I write books that other people read. God is good.
Jenny: Yes, that is quite an accomplishment. And I love the cover of your book. I know the life of an author can be very busy. What do you love to do when you have an unexpected day with no schedule?
Molly: There are gobs of things I enjoy doing. One of them is reading books and watching DVDs on Bible prophecy.
Jenny: What type of music do you like to listen to while you are writing?
Molly: Easy Instrumentals. It’s a channel I listen to via Dish.
Jenny: What is the favorite feedback you have gotten from a reader?
Molly: I love all the things readers write about my work. If I had a favorite, it would be comments that tell me how my books helped them in some way.
Jenny: So back on the topic of music, I always seem to have a song running through my head. What song are you thinking of right now?
Molly: As I mentioned earlier, I listen to Easy Instrumentals as I write. “Some Enchanted Evening” is playing on the TV right now, and going through my mind.
Here are the words.
“Some enchanted evening, you may see a stranger
You may see a stranger across a crowded room
And somehow you’ll know. You’ll know even then
That somewhere you’ll see (her/him) again and again.”
Jenny: Aww. That’s so romantic! If it’s not too personal, do you have someone in mind when you hear this song?
Molly: Yes. The stranger was my husband of all these many years. But the stranger could also be the Lord, Jesus Christ. He is coming again!
Jenny: Of course! Again, thanks Molly for stopping by my blog today. I hope you hear from lots of happy readers after they enjoy Bluebonnet Bride.
Now, here’s a special treat. You can watch the book trailer for this great book. Right here on my Seeking, Waiting and Walking blog.
